Quartet Brochard, Hug, Blondy, Cappozzo Unique creation and encounter, the work of this quartet will point to different directions. First the acoustic frame will be privileged; then a research on specific tones and on their interweaving will be considered.
The aim is not to work on any repertoire but rather to create a very precise sound of the orchestra. The strange instruments of this quartet will lead to iconoclast sound combinations. They will invent their own vocabulary through the asthetics of each one: the percussive work of Frédéric Blondy, the lyricism of Jean-Luc Cappozzo, the atypical use of the violin by Charlotte Hug and of the double bass by Eric Brochard.
Each is involved in “improvised encounters” but here a deeper work on the composition will be involved. An orchestra of all possibilities. Interview with Jean-Luc Cappozzo and Charlotte Hug. Festival quartet Luz Improvisation Free Jazz Cappozzo Blondy Hug Brochard
