Fancy The story of Fancy starts in Montreuil, in the suburb of Paris, where three weirdoes, Jesse Chaton, Rae Mone, and Mom, decide to create « the greatest band in the world ». They are noticed by the French magazine Les Inrocks which put them forward in their compilation CQFD, then they made a lot of concerts in which they appear with colours and glitters, revealing an androgynous nature close to the glam rock bands of the seventies. No half measure, just exaggeration and extravagance led by a constant humor and the high-pitched voice of Jesse, which can resemble the one of a cat thrown out of a window. Following the success of the hit “Seventeen”, their first record has come out at last in September and is called “Kings of the Worlds”, a status they claim for themselves in this interview directed when they came to the Bikini in December.
