DJ Krush DJ Krush If he is considered today as one of the greatest masters of abstract hip-hop, nothing predestined Hideaki Ishii to become an internationally-known musician. Born in Tokyo in 1962, DJ Krush has a hard start in life. After a deceiving scholarship, the young man joined a street gang. He does not deny this past as a juvenile delinquent : « At the time, I didn?t succeed in finding my place in life. I was looking for something to make me happy. I did a lot of reprehensible things to support myself. I don?t feel good when I think about it but, for me, this experience has influenced my life and my music.
